Virginia Marker History – Volume IV is a pictorial guidebook to the more than 280 Virginia historical road markers located in the Tidewater Region of Virginia.  Consisting of 312 pages, it includes a full page color image of each marker located in Charles City, Isle of Wight, James City, New Kent, Prince George, Southampton, Surry and York counties and the independent cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg.  It also includes a convenient marker title, marker number, gps coordinate, and geographic location index for easy reference.  The images are grouped by key historic periods and arranged chronologically within each, providing a unique regional overview of significant places, events and people that define our past and have shaped who we are today.
