Virginia Marker History – Volume V is a pictorial guidebook to the more than 300 Virginia historical road markers located in the Shenandoah Valley Region.  Consisting of 288 pages, it includes a full page color image of each marker located in Alleghany, Augusta, Bath, Botetourt, Clarke, Craig, Frederick, Highland, Page, Roanoke, Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Warren counties and the Independent cities of Buena Vista, Covington, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Roanoke, Salem, Staunton, Waynesboro and Winchester.  It also includes a convenient marker title, marker number, gps coordinate, and geographic location index for easy reference.  The images are grouped by key historic periods and arranged chronologically within each, providing a unique regional overview of significant places, events and people that define our past and have shaped who we are today.
